This lovely old pot is stamped SHEFFIELD and is chased with an elaborate pattern of flowers and ears of corn. The knob on the lid is three ivy leaves. Silverplate over copper. It has a couple of very minor dings on the handle and a couple of small ones on the lower body but it is one of the nicest I have seen. It probably dates from around 1880, and I suspect it has seen quite a few English Afternoon teas. Capacity 4 cups. Make this a family heirloom! I do have the matching Coffee Pot if anyone is interested in keeping the pair together, use the Contact Me form and I can send pictures. McCoy Pottery "Ivy" Pattern
McCoy pottery teapots are some of the most collectible teapots in the USA today. This is a large McCoy tea pot in the "Ivy" pattern, and has up to a 5 cup capacity. Looks like it has never been used. Very light glaze crazing as is typical for these old pots but other wise in fine condition with no chips cracks or hairlines. A great teapot to decorate around!
