Kids Birthday Party Ideas

girls birthday party ideas The best (and most bizarre) Kids Birthday Party Ideas will come from the kids themselves!

Children love parties, they are eager and enthusiastic guests and can be good hosts and hostesses too. Let them help plan the party, whether it's for themselves or a sibling.

For a small group of younger children, perhaps 6 or eight, boys or girls, a Childrens Tea Party can be a lot of fun.

Of course, there is no hot tea going to be served at the party! But you can substitute it with fruity iced tea, made with decaffeinated tea. Stay away from caffeinated, sugary sodas - the children have enough energy in a party situation anyway, no need to make them hyper - or worse - sick.

There will be a lot of sugar involved with baked goods - cakes and cookies, so try to include a little fresh fruit and vegetables. If you can make them into interesting shapes, the children are more likely to consider eating them!

Partyworks is an extraordinary company that caters to all aspects of parties from Baby Showers to 100-year-old's Birthday Celebrations, and has loads of Kids Birthday Party Ideas.

Kids Birthday Party Ideas For Pre-schoolers - A Birthday Tea Party

Small children are at their best in the morning. A great time to plan a Children's Birthday Tea Party would be from 10:30 am to 12:30pm. The party should not last much longer than that and an 'end time' should be noted on invitations.

With smaller children, the Moms can enjoy their own Morning Tea Party, while the kids have fun. By the time everything is cleared up and friends have left, it may be time for the Birthday Girl or Boy to have a nap! Mom can put her feet up with a nice cuppa and relax!

This does come under Kids Birthday Party Ideas, but it is an ideal opportunity for a young mother to entertain a few friends.

Kids Birthday Ideas for Older Children - An Afternoon Birthday Party

An afternoon Birthday Tea Party is always better for older children, say from five through 11 years old. But again, it should last no longer than three hours.

Older children will probably want to play some games, and personally I would keep them away from Wiis and electronic games, much better they all learn to interact, perhaps practice their drawing and writing skills too.

What Time Shall We Have The Party?

AGE 5 AND BELOW

Morning - 10:30-12:30 Afternoon - 3:00-5:00 or 3:30 to 5:30

A morning tea party for the little ones is more tea for mom and friends and a snack or lunch for the children. Set up a low table for the children with a plastic tea set, laid out in front of teddy bears. Some peanut butter and jelly sandwiches should be adequate (make sure none of the children is allergic to peanuts!) and a cupcake each. Children will soon mimic their moms!

AGE 6 THRU 7

Afternoon - 12:00-3:00 or 12:30-3:30 or 1:00-4:00

Always make sure the parents know what time to pick up their child. Food and refreshments should be served straight away, so as not to interfere with the childrens suppers.

AGE 8 THRU 10

Afternoon - 2:30-5:00 or 4:00-6:30

Afternoon Birthday Tea Parties are the best for children of this age. They should play first and sit down to eat perhaps thirty minutes before their parent comes to collect them. Serving the food any earlier, the children will expect something else to do after they have eaten. It may be a good time to put on some cartoons for them to watch and digest their food, while they wait.

AGE 10 THRU 11

Evening - 6:00 until 8:30 or 9:00pm

Older children like a later evening party, but unless all girls it is not a suitable time for a Tea Party, a simple dinner should be served.
